Justo Sierra’s address delivered on the ocassion of the offcial inauguration of the National University
In his address, the Minister of Public Instruction and Fine Arts, Justo Sierra, emphasized the importance of the recently created National University’s role in sceintific and cultural education.
His speech stressed the transformation and evolution of society through reasessment of the past and the establishment of moral habits and physical discipline to help guide youth in the ongoing struggle to unify the country. Sierra’s speech emphasizes the view that the rights and liberty of a people are derived from the progress of its national education system.
