This section is devoted to our teachers, the men and women of all ages, origins and intellectual inclination who have made up the university’s mind trust. They are the essence and substance of the schools, faculties, institutes and research centers. They are the pioneers in science, technology, culture and the arts, and instructors of innumerable generations of students.

It is in the wealth and generational transcendence of their work where essence of our university can be grasped. Our teachers offer a vast array of philosophical and scientific approaches. They are pillars in the sciences and the arts, both in Mexico and abroad, contributing to the unfolding of our culture, our identity and the inurement of each generation.

Let us on this occasion join the University in recognizing those emeritus professors and researchers receiving, among other awards, the National University Prize, degrees of Doctor Honoris Causa, or those receiving the National Science and Arts Prize from the federal government. And while these deserving individuals may not be in attendance, they have left their indelible mark on the life of the University.
