Toga Print

The toga symbolizes academic investiture and is worn by scholars as an outward sign of the degree and honor conferred by the National Autonomous University of Mexico. The toga is required on all those solemn occasions as determined by the institution.

The toga may be worn by members of the Board of Governors, the Rector, the Secretary General, the General Attorney, the members of the University Patrons Association, the deans of faculties, schools and institutes, the Coordinators of Sciences and Humanities, emeritus professors and researchers, recipients of the National University Award, those holding a master’s degree or Ph.D., tenured professors and other persons working in the institutes, provided they hold at least a B.A .or B.S. degree.
